Computers I

Computers I serves as an introductory high school computers course. This class gives students the opportunity to develop the technological skills needed to succeed in high school and beyond. The course will review touch type keyboarding and the REMC Association of Michigan’s 21things4students. Microsoft Office Suite 2007 will be explored in-depth. A variety of applications and Web 2.0 tools will be used including Weebly, Prezi, and Glogster. The use of technology for conducting research and basic MLA formatting will be covered as well. Students will create projects using many web-based programs, complete an online portfolio, and participate in class-based online discourse. This course will be conducted using both Weebly and Moodle, giving students an online learning experience.
