Welcome to Career Exploration 8th Graders!

FIRST WEEK OF CLASS - (September 2-5, 2014)
The career development process is unique to every person and evolves throughout one's life.
Self-awareness should be the first step in making career decisions. Interest assessments, work experiences, job shadowing, even observing people at work can help you to learn about the things you like and dislike about work. Interest inventories can help narrow down your interests and relate them to occupations. Careers that closely match a person’s interests are more likely to be satisfying.
