Most of the topics covered in the reasoning unit have not been introduced in previous math courses or in previous units.  Students will venture into a new area of mathematics.  This unit begins with understanding the basics of critical thinking and how logical reasoning plays a part in critical thinking.  The laws of logic will be explored and used in proving statements true or false.  The structure of Euclidean Geometry will be further defined and developed.  These concepts will establish the foundation of writing various forms of proofs.

This unit should take approximately 5 - 6 weeks.
