Inscribed Polygons

An inscribed polygon is a polygon placed inside of a circle such that the vertices of the polygon are on the circle and the sides of the polygon are chords of the circle. In the drawing shown below, pentagon ABCDE is inscribed in the circle.

Inscribed Polygon 

A way to remember this is by looking at the beginning of the words. Inscribed starts with "in" and the polygon is inside the circle.
